This evening a friend of mine on a social media site posted a story about "When God Makes You Wait". (You can click on the title to read the actual article.) It really opened my eyes and got me to thinking more about the waiting process we all go through during our lives.
What are you waiting for today?
What longing do you have that seems so far from ever being fulfilled?
What prayer do you keep on praying that seems to never reach God’s ears?
I want to remind you that God is not deaf to your prayers.
He is not blind to your constant tears, to your desires, and to your needs.
IF He is making you wait, there is a very good reason for it.
If He is telling you “no” today, maybe it’s because He has a better “yes” waiting for you tomorrow.
If He is keeping you in the same place you’ve always been today, maybe it’s because He’s helping build your faith before you enter your Promised Land tomorrow.
If He is not healing you or bringing you victory today, maybe it’s because you will have a greater testimony when He waits to help you be an overcomer tomorrow.
I am at a phase in life where I am actively involved in soul searching and looking to find where exactly God may be leading my path. I know He has plans that are far beyond any of my wildest dreams. Reading this has shown me and reassured me that it is going to happen one day. God has brought me through more than I would wish upon anyone, at any age, and I know that where I am at in my life right now is simply another step toward that end victory of giving Him all the glory.
I have to remember that I have prayed for major things in my past and I can honestly look at them now and thank God that He answered them differently that I asked Him to in the beginning.
God's got HUGE plans for you! Yes, YOU! And I know He has ginormous plans for me. And I am so excited to see what those plans are and where He leads.
