Hello, Gorgeous.
I’m Ashley Mitchell.
Community. Education. Advocacy.
Ashley Mitchell is the Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder of Adoption Rights, where she supports people impacted by private adoption through education, advocacy, and community support. As a birth mother in an open adoption, she has been a trusted and influential voice in adoption and motherhood spaces for nearly two decades, known for her transparency, compassion, and ability to translate complex social issues into accessible conversations. Through her platform, Big Tough Girl, she shares powerful stories and resources that inspire national dialogue on adoption ethics and reform.
Beyond her work in adoption, Ashley has led community-based initiatives that champion family well-being and connect parents to meaningful resources. She serves on the Parent Advisory Board for Parents Driving Change, contributes as a Speaker and Committee Member with MomTalks Atlanta, and is a two-time Utah Mother of the Year nominee with American Mothers. She is also the Co-Creator of The Adoption Conference and created the first nationwide support group curriculum for birth mothers through her organization, Knee to Knee. Through her speaking, writing, and outreach, Ashley continues to build communities that honor dignity, equity, and lifelong support for women and families.
“If we are going to be part of the solution, we have to engage the problems.”
