I share my journey to becoming a mother for the first time, becoming a birth mom within 72 hours after delivery, coming home to an RV and healing in a propane run trailer alone, and what the journey to post placement care looked like and how it evolved for me through great loss and heartache. I share “The Fish Story” analogy that will bring the tears and a powerful visual for dignity and love for birth mothers. This is a very impactful time on stage. It is short but hits every point to light a fire in your audience to contemplate their role and challenges them to do better in a way that offers hope, love and the healing miracle of support and God’s redemption.
60 Minute stage presentation for any conference, fundraising event, gala for your communities and more. “Make them laugh, make them cry, make them donate.” I share a voice that is rarely heard and will pull the heart strings of any attendee. I walk through my journey of becoming a mother for the first time but more importantly the first hours and years to follow as a Birth Mother. We talk through the great importance of post placement support, redemption through our open adoption relationships and where we miss-stepped. No matter the audience this journey is full of relatable and significant details, insight and hope through healing.
